Welcome!
Come and take a look at our new community centre
It's been many years in the planning, but the stunning new Acklam Green Centre has now opened its doors for a wide range of users from across the community.
On opening day, we invited special guests – including MFC skipper Matthew Bates, Mayor Ray Mallon and a lucky young Whinney Banks School pupil – to take a first look around the £3.2m flagship centre.
The eye-catching glass-fronted building includes a 200-seat auditorium, meeting rooms and conference facilities, youth centre, café, space for community activities and functions, offices and changing facilities for adjacent sports pitches.
The stunning building stretches over three levels and is a key part of the multi-million pound regeneration of the Acklam Green/Whinney Banks area.

Throughout the rest of our site, you can find out about the regeneration programme that West Middlesbrough Neighbourhood Trust (WMNT) has been spearheading during the last decade. Why not take a look at our latest publication Celebrating a Decade of Success, which gives a snapshot of our achievements – and the key projects that have changed West Middlesbrough for the better.
WMNT is entering a brand new era – an exciting and challenging one – and we look forward to many more years working with, and for, the community to ensure that West Middlesbrough is a place where people are proud to live, work and raise their families.
