Moving ahead
WMNT has produced a Succession Strategy which is currently awaiting approval. The Strategy sets out our plans for the future as an independent organisation building upon the successes of the last 10 years.
To continue to fund projects in the West Middlesbrough community, WMNT intends to generate money from outside of the area. Compared to the money available under the NDC programme, we will certainly have less money to spend. But we want to spend the money that is available benefiting the community, continuing to improve it, and to safeguard the improvements that have been made over the last decade.
In January 2009, we began a consultation process with residents of West Middlesbrough to get your views on:
- How you want WMNT to continue to operate after 2010?
- What work you want WMNT to focus its resources on after 2010?
- How you, as a West Middlesbrough resident, want to be involved in shaping how money is spent in your local area?
We asked for residents views using printed questionnaires, telephone and face to face interviews. We also ran open residents' meetings. The views collected through the consultation process helped to form the basis of WMNT's Succession Strategy - which sets out what we will focus on in the future.
