What we do

March 2010 marks the end of NDC funding for West Middlesbrough - and the start of a new era for WMNT.

WMNT’s future success is dependent on generating sufficient funds to ensure the organisation is not only sustainable, but is able to flourish and grow in line with the needs of the community it serves. One of the ways we’ll do this is through the Trust’s new trading arm, Ngage.

We’ll use the expertise and knowledge we’ve built up over the last 10 years around community engagement, work with young people and reaching ‘hard to reach’ groups to offer tailored solutions and training to clients in the public, private and third sectors. Any profits that Ngage generates will be ploughed back into West Middlesbrough to ensure continued improvements.

WMNT will also access new sources of funding to help deliver projects in the community and will generate income from housing rental and the sale of WMNT-owned land. In this way, we’ll continue  to operate as a charity, right at the heart of the community - and as a key player in the regeneration of West Middlesbrough.
