Who we are
WMNT is a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee. For most of the last decade, WMNT has been the driving force behind the £52 million government-funded New Deal for Communities (NDC) programme designed to regenerate neighbourhoods in West Middlesbrough.
From March 2010, WMNT is moving forward into a new future beyond the NDC funding. Our vision to make West Middlesbrough a place where people are proud to live, work and raise their families remains the same. Our desire to ensure that the improvements of the last 10 years are built upon remains strong. What has changed is the way in which we will do this to ensure the future sustainability of the organisation. Our immediate priorities now are to:
- complete our NDC-funded projects, in particular our flagship housing developments at Acklam Green and St Cuthbert's Mews
- establish new sources of income
- commission and deliver services
- develop our assets and property portfolio to generate income
The WMNT Board is the main decision-making body for WMNT. It is supported by the WMNT Programme Team based at 99 Acklam Road in Middlesbrough which carries out the day to day work of the Trust.
