Asset management will also be a key element of the strategy to provide future income for WMNT so that it sustains the improvements achieved during the ten year New Deal for Communities programme.
The 2005 programme includes the redevelopment of the site of the Meath Street Community Centre and Carlow Street Clinic into a new community centre. This will involve working with key partners including Middlesbrough Council, service providers such as Middlesbrough College and Middlesbrough Primary Care Trust, as well as Meath Street Community Centre Management Committee and local residents to develop a sustainable asset for the local community.
Future projects will target land and buildings that will help WMNT become sustainable and bring benefits to the community after 2010.
