Theme:
Improving the Living Environment
Project Description:
Stratford Crescent and Dunlane Close were both overcrowded with cars parking half on the road and half on the footpath as there was no safe parking near to their homes. Due to this increasing problem residents went to their respective residents’ associations to ask for some work to be carried out in order to improve their circumstances
Consultation was carried out and it was recognised that the area was crying out for better parking facilities. WMNT staff worked with the Councils Engineering Department to draw up plans to develop parking areas. However, the Wildlife Trust was consulted also to look at minor enhancements to the green area surrounding the new parking bays.
