WMNT’s vision for West Middlesbrough is a place where people are proud to live, work and raise their families.
We’ve set a number of objectives to help us achieve our vision, including:
- to develop high quality local services which are easier for people to access - this includes developing facilities such as the WMNT Resource Centre, and also building access requirements into all our programmes, such as West Middlesbrough Works and Volunteering into Work.
- to build the capacity of residents and businesses so they can get more actively involved in the life of their communities - we are committed to getting more residents to join constituted groups such at the Alleyways Improvement Group, and Community Horticuture Groups. WMNT will work with these groups to help them develop their own capacity to apply for funding for projects in the area.
- to work in partnership with agencies and individuals to build up trust and share knowledge and information.
- to ensure leading residents and stakeholders at the forefront of decision-making are accountable to the neighbourhood and achieve WMNT’s goals and priorities.
Performance Management is very important to WMNT and we are constantly monitoring how we're doing, ensuring we’re on track with our goals and priorities.
We’re also assessing how our assets – both land and buildings – can be best used to bring long-term benefits to the community and work is underway to develop new ways of working that will ensure our improvements are sustainable.
